NACFAM has established a Technology & Innovation Advisory Council.Technology & Innovation Advisory Council Mission: To broker multi-stakeholder activities of technologies and practices that enable more “intensive” types of collaborations.

NACFAM's Current Issues/Programs in Technology & Innovation:
- Technologies and practices that enable more “intense” collaboration such as open innovation systems.
- Technologies and practices that support network-centric manufacturing such as interoperability.
- Practices and governance impacting the intensity of collaborative network-centric activities
The commitment for Council members would be at least one annual face-to-face meeting (the annual meeting), a few one hour conference calls and general email correspondence. The Council will have an important role in directing the Annual meeting and AMLF activities on Technology & Innovation and will help set NACFAM’s Technology & Innovation policy and research focus.
