Member Benefits Minimize
Sustainable manufacturing is the overarching manufacturing paradigm of the 21st century. SMC will keep your organization on top of the latest events and help your organization increase opportunity, effectiveness and readiness by working towards sustainable manufacturing. We will do that through working groups, newsletters, continuous networking and inter-industry and multi-disciplinary collaboration among members. We will provide a forum for best-practice sharing, collaboration, and creation of innovative sustainable manufacturing and Green Jobs in Manufacturing frameworks.

The support we provide can be applied to all manufacturing sectors. When we incorporate companies from industry sectors that are not currently represented we will hold an educational seminar on sustainability issues relevant to that industry, develop partnerships with their trade association and applicable labor organizations, then incorporate their industry’s unique characteristics and needs into SMC’s activities.

SMC will provide research and support to answer questions throughout the year.  If we cannot find the answers and many organizations have similar questions, we will implement a project with all interested entities to find the answer.  Possible examples of the topics SMC members might choose to address in Working Groups include, but are not limited to, the following:
