Green Product and Clean Tech Manufacturing Minimize

NACFAM wants to ensure that the U.S. develops and grows world-class "green" products manufacturing industries (including renewable energy, energy efficiency and other "green" products).  We want to help develop "green" product manufacturing industries that are able to adapt and innovate to lead the global economy.  NACFAM can help apply network-centric and sustainable manufacturing frameworks for specific companies within the industry as well as within specific regions, counties and industrial parks.  We can work with potential component manufacturers to understand if they need to retool to become qualified suppliers or adjust to enter these new markets by facilitating partnerships, collaboration and transition.  We can develop a network-centric manufacturing framework and work with labor, industry, governing entities and education to develop a workforce development plan.

These frameworks will facilitate the advancement of technologies and products through collaborative innovation.  It will entice OEMs through the promise of staying ahead of their competitors in product innovation.  Clean tech is characterized by quick cycle times in innovations, which find their ways into the final product relatively quickly.  It is an advantage to any OEM, supplier and workforce for these entities to work together to innovate and stay ahead of the market. Finally, NACFAM can provide objective evidence to inform public policy and programs at all levels to improve the competitiveness of U.S. "green" product manufacturers and to keep manufacturing jobs here in the U.S. while we meet increased demand for "green" products and renewable energy development.
